JINA-CEE/TRIUMF Workshop: Recoil Separators for Nuclear Astrophysics

TRIUMF, Vancouver, British Columbia, 11th - 12th October 2016

We will be holding a JINA-CEE/TRIUMF Satellite Workshop on Recoil Separators for Nuclear Astrophysics on Tues 11th and Wed 12th October, 2016, at the TRIUMF laboratory in Vancouver, Canada.

The Workshop is funded by JINA-CEE and TRIUMF.

The workshop will aim to (a) showcase the technical and scientific achievements of past and current recoil separators worldwide, (b) explore avenues for technical developments in equipment and techniques, (c) examine the new generation of recoil separators currently under construction and (d) foster close collaboration between the users of the world's recoil separators. Special emphasis will be given to applying the lessons of the past to future efforts at these facilities. The meeting will be held one day before the APS-DNP Fall Meeting, taking place at the Sheraton Wall Centre, in downtown Vancouver.

NEW! Registration can be performed at the following link: Register Here

There are separate options for student and non-student registration. Student registrants will be asked if they would like to apply for a subsidy to cover their accomodation for the 2-day workshop. There are a limited number of subsidies available, generously sponsored by JINA-CEE.

NEW! Draft Program Here

Please also note that JINA-CEE sponsored workshop participants are expected to abide by a code of conduct, which can be read here: http://astro.triumf.ca/jina-cee-code-conduct.

Accomodation enquiries can be directed to Chris Ruiz. However since the workshop coincides with the APS-DNP Fall Meeting held in Vancouver, it is anticipated that most registrants will be residing downtown.

Thanks very much, and looking forward to seeing you at TRIUMF!
